Designed with cosy luxury in mind, 322 year old Lancaster Cottage is packed with original features with beautiful wooden beams throughout, unique gritstone fireplace with cosy stove burner and thick exposed stone walls, it is a wonderful haven all year round.
Incredibly comfortable as well as stylish, the cottage has a huge settee & a dreamy, romantic bedroom with king-sized comfy bed with lovely views over the hills, 2 outdoor seating areas including a tranquil garden and relaxing garden room surrounded by open countryside.

There was a lot to see and do nearby whether walking or visiting country houses or historic towns.Each local village seems to have a pub to visit and perhaps eat at.The village was quiet (at night there was almost no sound of motors) but with a great community feel.Thank you.

Katrina2024-04-01A beautiful 17th century cottage very lovingly restored and made superbly comfortable.The decor is exquisite and there is a plethora of helpful maps, brochures and interesting books.The village of Winster is delightful and particularly well located for a variety of walks or in our case, cycle rides,to be finished off with a thirst quenching pint of locally brewed beer at the nearby Miners Standard pub. I felt that Katie was always on hand should we have needed for anything at all.
Helen2024-03-22Fabulous stay at Katie's cosy cottage., loved everything about it. The fire and sofa were perfect for an evening in and the dining area was such a pretty space to eat. Bed and the bedroom were gorgeous for a cosy lie in and lazy cups of tea. Winster is a beautiful villiage close to all the fabulous places to visit in the lake District. Highly memorable and recommended!!!!!!
Jessica2024-03-18Had a great break away at Katie’s beautiful cottage! It was so cosy and in a great location. Two local pubs literally one on your doorstep and the other at the top of the village took me and my son about 5mins to walk! Great food and they had a band on when we went on the Saturday night so that was perfect. Katie gave us lots of recommendations before we got there and also there is lots in the cottage which really helped us out deciding what to do! Perfect for our dog too she loved it - Especially saying hello to the alpacas just up from the house! Thanks again Katie, we really hope to visit again soon! Jess, Max & Winnie xxx
